For most of the NFL Draft process, Jayden Daniels has been considered the second-best player in this class.
However, the talent gap between him and Caleb Williams isn’t that wide, or so it seems.
He’s perhaps the best scrambler in this class, and his ability to pick up yards and make plays with his feet makes him the best dual-threat prospect we’ve seen in a while.
With that in mind, Shannon Sharpe asked Daniels about his most unique trait and what separates him from other prospects, and his answer was quite impressive.
He believes that he’s got the ability to escape and pick up yards with his legs but more than that, his competitiveness and the fact that he’s been doubted his entire life is what truly fuels his fire.
While he argues that all quarterback prospects have high football IQs, he believes that his ‘dog’ mentality and determination to prove everyone wrong and get better every single day is what makes him special (via Los Pats Talks).

Daniels has been penciled in as the No. 2 pick for most of the draft process, although some scouts believe he could fall to No. 3.
He’s drawn comparisons to Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III because of his shiftiness, lateral quickness, and instincts as a runner, but he’s also a polished passer who won’t hesitate to sling the football if that’s what the play demands.
More than that, we’ve seen good players become great because of how much they want it, so that’s also a factor to consider.
