After another season filled with drama and a change at head coach, the Las Vegas Raiders headed into this NFL offseason with high hopes of adding to a talented roster through free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft.
Unfortunately for Las Vegas, the team lost veteran star running back Josh Jacobs to the Green Bay Packers right out of the gate when free agency got started, as the team’s longtime starting back chose to leave Sin City in favor of Wisconsin.
Although the Raiders had tried to re-sign Jacobs, Las Vegas couldn’t compete with the offer that the Packers came in with, as the team offered the one-time All-Pro $48 million over four years.
Fortunately, before Jacobs agreed to leave the team, the Raiders got some good news in the form of free-agent defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, who chose to sign with Las Vegas on a lucrative long-term deal.
The addition of Wilkins is a potential game-changer for the Raiders defensively as he could prove to be the perfect player to play alongside fellow defensive star Maxx Crosby.
Once the news became official, Jalen Ramsey of the Miami Dolphins took to Twitter to let everyone know how crazy the duo of Crosby and Wilkins will be.

It’s safe to assume that the new duo in Las Vegas will be a potential game-changer for the Raiders and one that is much needed, with the team desperately needing a boost defensively.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Raiders have some more moves left in them to upgrade the defense and what it could mean for the team moving forward.
