While the Philadelphia Eagles are off to a 6-0 start, the start is historic for quarterback Jalen Hurts.
With the Eagles QB, it’s something special, as many thought the team might move on from him after this season.
Despite the negative reports on Hurts, he’s turned the 2022 season into history for himself and the Eagles.
So what is he doing that’s putting him in a unique group in NFL history?
Hurts Becomes Fourth NFL QB Since 2000 With 6-0 Record And 12+ TDs Against 2 Or Fewer Giveaways
Before 2022, only three NFL QBs since 2000 have held a record of 6-0 while having 12+ TDs and two or fewer giveaways.
Since 2000, only four #NFL QBs have led their teams to 6-0 records while totaling 12+ TDs with 2-or-fewer giveaways:

Hurts currently has six passing TDs and six rushing TDs helping him reach this historic mark.
While he has three fumbles and two interceptions for the season, the three fumbles didn’t lead to a giveaway.
At 24 years old, Hurts is also the youngest QB out of the group to reach this mark.
Manning was 30, Brady was 38, and Favre was 40 when these three hit those marks.
With Hurts reaching this historic mark at a much younger age, it should stop the doubters from coming after him.
However, there’s still concern with him, despite these historic numbers.
Is Hurts Just A Lamar Jackson Type Flash In The Pan?
The 2022 season is showing Hurts with Lamar Jackson type numbers.
However, defenses are figuring out Jackson’s play style, which has cost the Ravens’ games.
If Hurts’ chief strength is running the ball, then he could become a flash in the pan.
However, his solid performance against the Dallas Cowboys’ defense shows he’s not a flash in the pan.
