
The New York Knicks gave their fans quite a show on Tuesday night when they welcomed the Los Angeles Lakers to Madison Square Garden.
The team is seventh in the East and has been trying to assure fans that the second half of the season will be even better than the first.
While they couldn’t put the Lakers away on Tuesday, one of their stars was doing fantastic work and proving that he was a brilliant acquisition in the summer.

Jalen Brunson had 37 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists in the game.
That means that for the month of January, Brunson averaged 28.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists.
His stat line was dominant during that time: 48% from the field, 45% from the three-point line, and 83% from the free-throw line.
This was the best month of Brunson’s career and was the strongest confirmation yet that the Knicks were smart to nab him in the offseason.
When Brunson was signed to the Knicks at the start of free agency, numerous people weren’t sure if it was the right move.
Did he really have what it takes to lead a team and not just be Luka Doncic’s right-hand man, they asked.
Brunson has responded definitively.
He is having the best season of his career so far with 22.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.
Not only has he easily become an important part of the Knicks, but he has also become their star player.
Many people now see him as the future of the franchise.
Will he be able to help his team venture far into the playoffs this season?
That will require a lot of hard fighting but Brunson has proven that he’s ready for that.
