The New York Knicks are making a huge run at Jalen Brunson of the Dallas Mavericks.
For months now, there have been rumors that the Knicks are very hot on Brunson after his latest breakout season and playoff run with Luka Doncic and the Mavs.
Now they’re putting their money where their mouths are.
At this point, it's widely anticipated that Jalen Brunson will go to the Knicks on a four-year deal in excess of $100M. It remains to be seen how New York will clear the rest of the necessary cap space and whether the Mavs can work a sign-and-trade to recoup assets.

Tim MacMahon is reporting that New York is going to offer Brunson at least $100 million.
They are making multiple moves to acquire enough cap space necessary in order to really win Brunson over.
And it seems to be working.
Big Time Brunson
Brunson was a unit during the playoffs, putting up 21.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
During multiple games without Doncic, Brunson really stepped up and led his team.
The Knicks are hoping he will bring that same sort of energy and fire in his belly to the Big Apple.
They really want this deal to happen and actually just traded away center Nerlens Noel and guard Alec Burks to the Detroit Pistons in order to clear $19 million in salary cap space and make the pot even sweeter for Brunson.
They are now putting $110 million for four years on the table.
Meanwhile, the Mavs are offering about the same amount, but for a five-year deal.
It seems increasingly likely that Brunson will be moving to the Knicks in the weeks ahead.
So, is he the player the team has needed?
The Knicks were doing quite well a couple of seasons ago but they collapsed last season and are now in need of a serious shake-up.
Brunson will be part of that – but will he be enough?
The Knicks sure hope so because they are putting a lot of faith and cold hard cash into this deal.
