Rockets Thanked John Wall For 1 Thing In Particular

John Wall‘s time with the Houston Rockets has come to an end.

His tenure with the team has been very odd, to say the least, but now he’s reportedly moving on to the Los Angeles Clippers after agreeing to a contract buyout with the Rockets.

The Rockets have reached a buyout agreement with John Wall for the final season of his contract.

The Rockets went online to thank Wall for his “professionalism” during his time with the squad.

However, some fans are wondering why Wall is being thanked after such a strange, complicated, and frustrating period.

Wall Walking Away

Wall played for the Rockets for the last two seasons.

Actually, he hasn’t really played much at all.

He was not allowed to play for a majority of his first season with the Rockets because of an injury but even when he healed he was on the bench.

He sat out the entirety of the 2021-22 season because the Rockets wanted to focus on younger talent, leaving Wall out in the cold.

Both sides discussed and agreed that Wall would be benched all season in order to stay healthy and retain a high trade value.

Now all these months later, they have agreed to buy out his contract and let him go.

The new deal means that Wall is getting about $40 million more from Houston before he heads out west.

These are all reasons why fans are wondering why he’s being thanked: he hardly played, he didn’t help impart wisdom on the newcomers, and he got a lot of money from the Rockets.

As for Wall, he’s ready to move on and once again prove to people why he is still one of the highest-paid athletes in the league.
