The Dallas Mavericks evened their series against the Utah Jazz on Monday night and now have a fighting chance to make it into the second round.
A huge part of Monday’s success was Jalen Brunson, who scored 41 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists with no turnovers while also going 6-from-10 from beyond the three-point line.
In others words, Brunson was on fire and was the main reason the team took home a W.
Brunson has been doing incredible work all season and some are pointing out what a bargain he is.

Bobby Marks pointed out that Brunson is far exceeding his $1.8 million contract.
Based on analytics from Profitx, Brunson is actually worth about $31 million right now.
This is determined by a number of factors, such as injuries, performance, development, and position versatility, among others.
While it’s true the Mavericks have Luka Doncic, is Brunson one of the biggest parts of his team’s future?
Brunson’s Time To Shine
Brunson has been creating 16.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game this season.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that he’s stepping it up in a major way in the playoffs.
Brunson knew that he needed to reach new heights due to the lack of Doncic and he answered the call for his team.
The question now is if he will stay at this level.
There have been numerous times through NBA history when the playoffs were a proving ground and coming-out party for young players.
After bursting onto the postseason scene, some players remained superstars forever after that.
Is that what we can expect with Brunson?
Time will tell but, right now, Brunson is becoming the breakout star of the Mavericks.
