The 1992 Olympic “Dream Team” was an example of true American greatness and featured some of the best basketball players of all time.
However, there was one notable absence on the team: Isiah Thomas.
Thomas was one of the most dominant forces in the NBA at the time, so it was surprising to see him not join Team USA in the 1992 Olympics.
Years later, there are rumors that Thomas didn’t make the cut because of Michael Jordan’s dislike of him.
Speaking on “The Draymond Green Show,” Thomas opened up about the snub.
“It never dawned on me that I didn’t make the team because Michael Jordan didn’t like me,” Thomas said, according to a video shared by The Volume.

The icy relationship between Jordan and Thomas has never been a secret and there is definitely a good chance that it played a part in Thomas not going to the 1992 Olympics.
However, Jordan has denied that he had any hand in this for years, saying he had no say in who was or was not selected for the Dream Team.
Yet, he was the biggest basketball player on the planet at the time and held incredible power.
If he wanted to keep someone off the team, he definitely had the ability to make that happen.
Thomas’ latest statement makes it clear that he thinks Jordan was most definitely behind the Olympics snub.
This interview with Green had a few surprisingly frank moments from Thomas, especially about his relationship with Jordan.
That means the rumors and speculation about these two are being drummed up again all these years later.
