After several weeks back in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks, former All-Star Isaiah Thomas was sent back to the G League, where he immediately turned in impressive work with the Grand Rapids Gold.
Thomas averaged a hefty 41 points per game for his three appearances with the Gold.
With such an impressive record in the G League, many people wondered if Thomas would make a return to the big leagues.
Sure enough, one NBA team was taking note of Thomas’ success and decided to offer him a deal.

Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that the Charlotte Hornets have signed Thomas to a new 10-day deal.
This will give Thomas another chance to show he has what it takes to play in the NBA – but will it lead to his ultimate goal of another long-term contract?
Thomas Is Back (Again)
Thomas has played five games this season, split between both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks.
Before that, he had found lots of success in the NBA, especially when he played with the Boston Celtics at the beginning of his career.
During his prime time, Thomas averaged 24.7 points a game.
However, multiple injuries sidelined Thomas and led to him delivering less and less on the floor.
Eventually, it looked like his time in the league was over but Thomas showed that he never gave up the fight nor lost the desire to play.
Even though there were offers from leagues overseas, Thomas stayed stateside and tried to get back in great condition so an NBA team would take a chance on him.
When the coronavirus decimated multiple teams, Thomas had his chance to shine but was only given 10-day contracts.
Fans of the legendary guard are hoping that yet another 10-day contract will lead to something full-time.
