Through five weeks of the regular season, the New England Patriots have scored a grand total of 55 points.
That’s an average of 11 points per game, and it only gets worse when you consider the fact that they’ve scored 3 total points in their past two games combined.
Their scoring totals have dropped every single game from 20 to 17 to 15 to 3 to 0, and they’re coming off two of the ugliest losses in Bill Belichick’s career, if not the ugliest.
However, despite all speculation about Mac Jones and his future with the organization, ESPN insider Adam Schefter said on The Pat McAfee Show that he’s more than likely going to continue to roll with him.
"Bill Belichick has said that he's sticking with Mac Jones..
It's fair to say that when the Patriots play the Raiders this week the offense isn't gonna look the same..
What that means we'll find out as the week evolves" ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/504KWVDCFl

Schefter explained that everybody around the league is waiting for the Patriots to do something about their current status, although no one has a clue of what they’re going to do.
He predicted that win or lose, and whether that’s better or not, the Patriots’ offense will look quite different when they take the field to face the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jones has been erratic throughout the course of the season, but he’s not the only one to blame for the Patriots’ offensive shortcomings.
He’s been replaced by backup Bailey Zappe in back-to-back wins now, but it’s always been clear that the Patriots don’t consider Zappe to be a suitable or actual replacement.
Whatever the case, it’s hard to envision this team sticking with Jones — and even Belichick — beyond this season if they don’t turn the page and get better soon.
