The New England Patriots are having a terrible start to their season.
After five weeks, the Patriots have a record of 1-4.
This is looking more and more like a lost season for them.
The issues for the Patriots have remained the same ever since Tom Brady left.
No quarterback has been able to cover up the Patriots issues like Brady did during his tenure.
Stephen A. Smith believes it is time for Belichick to be replaced as GM.
Smith believes that Robert Kraft should tell Belichick that he can coach the team but no longer be the GM.
"If I'm Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, I'd call Bill Belichick … and here's what I'd tell him. 'You are no longer the GM … for this franchise. You can coach, but that's it.'"

Something needs to change in the organization.
While firing Belichick as a coach may not be the answer, his GM spot should be on the hot seat.
New England could bring in someone with more GM experience and a stronger history of drafting.
All the best teams in the NFL are ones that usually draft well.
The Patriots have had holes all over their roster for years and have not filled them in the draft.
New England is looking at one of their worst seasons in the past few decades this year.
If they want to fix that then they will need someone new to make the key decisions.
