The Pittsburgh Steelers have been in the market for another wide receiver for quite a while now.
Their pursuit of another wideout dates back to the offseason.
They tried to trade for Brandon Aiyuk, but the now-injured wideout wound up staying put with the San Francisco 49ers.
Then, they unsuccessfully tried to acquire Davante Adams.
They wound up getting Mike Williams, but the former Los Angeles Chargers star has been a non-factor.
Now, they may have gotten a big helping hand from one of their divisional rivals.
With the Baltimore Ravens opting to waive veteran Diontae Johnson, he could now find his way back to Pennsylvania.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network (via Andrew Fillipponi), the Steelers could bring Johnson back.

The Steelers traded Johnson to the Carolina Panthers.
As expected, he didn’t find much success with them, and their offense struggled to get much going.
Then, he failed to establish himself with the Ravens after a mid-season trade.
He reportedly refused to enter a game, leading to a suspension and his eventual release.
Truth be told, it’s hard to understand why a player wouldn’t want to play for a Super Bowl contender with an MVP candidate at quarterback like Lamar Jackson.
Perhaps he’s just a big Steeler at heart.
The Steelers want and need someone to line up opposite George Pickens, and with an improved quarterback situation with Russell Wilson at the helm, a potential reunion with their troublemaking wide receiver definitely makes a lot of sense.
