Kyle Lowry is now in his third season with the Miami Heat and has added ball handling, basketball expertise, and leadership to the team.
However, his time in Florida may be coming to an end.
According to Brett Siegel, via NBACentral, Lowry is on the trade block and has been for some time.
“Kyle Lowry has been on the trade block for the Miami Heat dating back to last season. His production for the Heat has been minimal and Lowry is in the final year of his contract,” Siegel reported.
He added: “For any team looking to free up cap space in the offseason, Lowry could wind up being a great asset for them since he is making nearly $30 million.”

During his years with the Heat, Lowry has averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.
That is a substantial step down from his output with the Toronto Raptors, where he recorded 17.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.1 assists.
Lowry is now 37 years old and has faced more injuries and challenges as he has aged so it’s not surprising to see him produce less.
It’s also not surprising to see the Heat try to move him, as he has never quite fit into the rotation as they had hoped when he was signed back in 2021.
Lowry has started in all of his 34 games this season and he can still be quite helpful to the team.
That means that another franchise might be more than willing to take him on if the price is right.
If the Heat do move Lowry, will they make any other changes too?
They are currently the fifth team in the East and doing better than some expected but are they looking to tweak their lineup even more after they let go of Lowry?
