The Paul George era is about to begin for the Philadelphia 76ers.
George has officially been with the team for months now but he is on the verge of actually wearing the jersey and playing a game for the 76ers.
According to Keith Pompey, via Legion Hoops, George is set to play in Friday night’s preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
That will give Sixers fans their first chance at seeing George and getting an idea of what he might do for their team.

The pressure and anticipation are high for George.
When he was signed by Philadelphia in the summer, he was called the missing piece and the player who would help the 76ers get to their next level.
That is a lot to put on one man’s shoulders but George seems comfortable with the responsibilities he’s received.
In multiple interviews, George has sounded excited to be in Philadelphia and ready to get to work.
More importantly, he’s also healthy, which will be key.
The 76ers will have a lot of challenges in 2024-25, including the reigning champion Boston Celtics and a number of other teams getting stronger in the East.
But perhaps their biggest opponent will be injuries because Philadelphia has had horrible luck with getting hurt lately.
George is looking healthy, Joel Embiid is in good shape and lost weight, and the rest of the roster is ready to go.
Now they just need some good luck and numerous wins to let the rest of the league know they are a true force.
Preseason games don’t often mean a lot but fans will be elated to finally witness George in action.
Hopefully, his tenure with the 76ers gets off on the right foot.
