The Green Bay Packers survived a major scare with Jordan Love.
It seemed like their star quarterback was looking at a lengthy absence, potentially even a full season on the shelf.
However, that’s not the case.
He managed to avoid being placed on Injured Reserve (IR), and the Packers even listed him as questionable for Sunday’s clash with the Indianapolis Colts.
He’s not likely to play, but the fact that he was able to do something was fairly encouraging.
With that in mind, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Love is targeting Week 5 as his potential return.

That means Love could be back on the field to square off vs. his hometown Los Angeles Rams.
All things considered, missing just three games would be a big break for Love and the Packers.
Still, that doesn’t mean they can afford to go 0-4 to start the season, especially considering that the Rams won’t be an easy team to beat, even if they’re still banged up by then.
The Packers lost a close game to the Philadelphia Eagles in the opener, and they will have to be without their most important player to face the Colts, Tennessee Titans, and Minnesota Vikings.
It’ll be up to Malik Willis and the defense to hold down the fort while their franchise quarterback works his way back to the field.
That’ll be easier said than done, but it’s time to see what this team is truly made of.
