The Dallas Cowboys have a very interesting decision to make regarding the future of head coach Mike McCarthy.
The team plays its final regular-season game this Sunday against the Washington Commanders, so owner Jerry Jones must decide whether to keep McCarthy as head coach.
NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show to discuss when a decision might be reached.
“I’m sure Jerry Jones loves the fact that he’s got some time to play with. Mike McCarthy’s contract does not expire until January 14th…(The Cowboys) have about a nine-day exclusive negotiating window…There are going to be other teams interested in Mike McCarthy,” Pelissero said on Friday.

This is going to be a fascinating process in Dallas over the next week or so.
McCarthy really has done everything in Dallas besides win a championship.
The former Super Bowl-winning head coach won 12+ games three times in four years before injuries derailed his team this season.
He is one of the most experienced coaches in the league and has a fantastic track record when you look at the totality of his career.
Pelissero also mentioned teams like the New York Jets and the New Orleans Saints could be interested in hiring him.
All eyes will be on the situation in Dallas in the coming weeks.
