While the Cowboys kept most of their coaching staff and roster intact, this season has been disappointing.
Dak Prescott’s injury didn’t help, causing inconsistency on offense.
The team has struggled as a whole, and the team looks like they’ll be forced to go back to the drawing board in the offseason.
These offseason conversations could include a new head coach, but that remains to be seen.
Mike McCarthy was recently asked about his future in Dallas, as Ian Rapoport highlighted on X.
“I need to make sure I’m doing exactly what I’m asking everybody else to do, we need to finsh the race. We’ll have time to talk about that next week,” McCarthy said.

Judging by these comments, McCarthy is still undecided about his future with the organization, hoping to get more clarity over the next several weeks.
However, Jerry Jones isn’t getting any younger, and if he wants to see a Super Bowl win when he’s the head coach, the team might have to make some significant changes for them to break through in what has become a crowded NFC.
They’ll have to play significantly better in 2025 if they want to compete in their division, which is turning into one of the most competitive in the NFL.
