The Indianapolis Colts simply cannot catch a break right now.
They lost young QB Anthony Richardson for the season, and even though they continue to find ways to win, they’ve now been bitten by the injury bug again.
According to a report by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, star RB Jonathan Taylor could miss some time going forward.
Rapoport reported that Taylor suffered a thumb injury and that he’ll undergo further evaluation to determine the extent of it, adding that his status going forward is uncertain.
#Colts RB Jonathan Taylor, fresh off a 91-yard, 2-TD performance in a win over the #Bucs, suffered an injured thumb that is requiring further evaluation and puts his status in doubt going forward, sources say.

Taylor was coming off his first multi-touchdown game in two years, logging two scores and 91 yards on 15 carries.
He sustained the injury in the first half but managed to play through it and stayed in the game, torching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense.
The former rushing champion had totaled 414 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns to go along with 16 receptions for 137 yards and another score in seven appearances.
He missed the first four games of the season with an ankle injury, and his future with the organization was in jeopardy before he finally agreed to a very lucrative contract extension with the team.
Shane Steichen’s team will hit the road for a divisional clash with the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, and they would most likely turn to Zack Moss if he’s not able to go because of this injury.
The Colts are sitting on a 6-5 record and still have the playoffs in sight, so this news couldn’t have come at a worse possible time.
