A lot of people around the NFL seem divided on their outlook for the New York Jets this season, even though the team has added future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
There are those that feel the best New York can do is to earn a Wild Card playoff spot, but there are also pundits that consider them a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Analyst Jordan Schultz is in the latter group, and he broke down why he thinks New York can end up winning it all this winter, via “Speak” on FS1.

Schultz started off by mentioning the fact that Rodgers, who is 39 years of age, seems reinvigorated in the Tri-state area.
The signal-caller had a down year in 2022 with the Green Bay Packers, and it is anyone’s guess whether it was due to his mileage or the departure of star wide receiver Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders last offseason.
The Jets not only have wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who is the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, but they also brought in Allen Lazard, who was one of Rodgers’ favorite targets in Green Bay over the last few years.
Their defense was already one of the NFL’s best in 2022, and now that cornerback Sauce Gardner, 2022’s Defensive Rookie of the Year, has a year under his belt, that defense could get a little better.
Perhaps the biggest negative for New York is how insanely competitive the AFC will be, and their own division will be very difficult as well.
But at least for the first time in forever, the team seems to have the talent to be able to rise to almost any challenge.
