Ime Udoka has full faith in his Houston Rockets for multiple reasons.
He believes in his players and their abilities.
He also thinks that they could have one of the most intimidating lineups in the history of the NBA.
Speaking about the Rockets, Udoka touched upon the approach he will take in the new season.
“We can go a multitude of ways. Sometimes, it’s going to be doubling down on bully ball and have Amen out there with two bigs, and Jabari and KD on the court. Probably one of the biggest lineups in the history of the league,” Udoka said.
Ime Udoka just listed this lineup and described it as…
“one of the biggest lineups in the history of the league”…
Amen
KD
Jabari
Sengun
Adams https://t.co/fXeiAG8gF5 pic.twitter.com/8EuhlCQqB8— Steven Adams Stats (@funakistats) September 29, 2025
That certainly does sound scary on paper, and other teams should take note of Udoka’s plans.
Amen Thompson, Kevin Durant, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Sengun, and Steven Adams – that is surely one of the largest combinations of players in the league.
Any other team will be terrified to see them moving up and down the court, which is exactly what Udoka wants.
He’s the sort of coach who loves to get under the skin of his opponents, and he believes this lineup will do that.
The team is one of the most promising in the West, but they just faced a pretty severe setback when they lost Fred VanVleet to a season-ending injury.
But this statement from Udoka makes it clear that the team still has some options, and they think that they can bully the rest of the league.
This sounds like a great lineup and one that can score and defend a lot.
However, the Western Conference is prepared to fight hard, so it’ll take more than size and intimidation to reach the playoffs.
