Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is considered one of the best guards in the NBA today and arguably the best shooter of all time.
Curry has racked up quite an impressive resume since he was drafted out of Davidson by the Warriors with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.
It’s safe to say that Curry changed the way the game is played today due to his style of play, as he turned the NBA into a shooter’s league and forced even seven-footers to learn how to shoot from beyond the arc.
Although Curry singlehandedly changed the game and will go down as one of the greatest guards to ever play the game, he had a rough start to his career due to injuries and needed a few years to become the player we marvel at today.
Former NBA player Iman Shumpert recently made an appearance on the “All The Smoke” podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson and talked about when he thinks Curry turned the corner, which was when he dropped 54 points on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in 2013.

As Shumpert pointed out, the fans at Madison Square Garden started rooting for Curry while he was torching the Knicks for 54 points, which is something that only the best of the best in this league have been able to do, like Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James.
The real question for Curry moving forward is how much he has left in the tank at 35 and whether he can add some more trophies to his collection in the coming years.
