The Golden State Warriors had high hopes for Jordan Poole’s future.
By signing him to that massive contract extension, it became more than clear that they thought he could carry the torch and become Stephen Curry’s successor, but his attitude, financial issues, and his poor performances in the playoffs eventually cut that dream short.
Even so, and despite the rumors of Poole annoying Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and other veterans besides Draymond Green, it seems like that wasn’t the case at all.
Otherwise, why would the Splash Brothers be working out with him?
Needless to say, countless fans took to Twitter to react to Devin Allen’s pics of Poole working out with Curry and Thompson, and the Draymond Green jokes were a big part of the equation (via The Warriors Talk).

Some believe that the Warriors pulled the plug on Poole too early and they should’ve given him another chance.
Others believe they rushed to pay him, which is why they’re now in this situation.
At the end of the day, they pretty much dumped his big contract for Chris Paul’s expiring contract, and while that will allow them to keep their dynasty core together for years to come, it might not have been the wisest decision.
Only time will tell who won and who lost this trade.
For now, Poole will get an opportunity to get a fresh start and prove that he can be one of the most prominent and explosive scorers in the game.
