Over the past couple of years, Charlotte Hornets players have made the news for countless reasons, but none of those have been related to basketball.
That was the case with big man Kai Jones, who recently became viral for a rather bizarre Instagram live session.
The Bahamas native was drenched in sweat, talking and acting erratically, so fans thought he was either on drugs or drunk.

That’s why the big man had to take to Twitter to clear the air, stating that he was just enjoying life and wasn’t intoxicated.
Of course, the fans had a tough time believing this, as the video was just incredibly bizarre, and he was barely making sense.
Out of the blue, he started talking about how the Hornets would never trade him, and truth be told, he was acting like the kind of player who could get cut.
He also made the rounds because of the fact that every single one of his teammates reportedly unfollowed him, with some fans speculating that he had blocked them so they couldn’t see the video.
At the end of the day, there’s no way we can know for sure if he was intoxicated or not.
Also, maybe the Hornets will just look the other way and give him another chance, granted that he was enjoying his free time on vacation.
Whatever the case, he’ll be in the spotlight, and will have to be at his best when he hits the court for them next season.
