It seems like the franchise simply cannot catch a break, with their players often being tangled up in non-basketball-related controversies.
This time, it was big man Kai Jones who raised concerns among the fans after going live on Instagram and showing erratic and rather unusual behavior (via NBA Central).

In the footage, the big man’s speaking was erratic.
He was sweating and burst into laughter multiple times, leading the fans to speculate about him being on drugs.
His speech was rather unclear, and it had nothing to do with his accent.
He was also sweating heavily and dancing, and then, out of the blue, he talked about how he didn’t expect the Hornets to trade him any time soon.
According to reports, every single player on the Hornets has unfollowed him ever since that clip went live.

However, others believe this might be because Jones blocked them to prevent them from watching the video.
The University of Texas product entered the league as the No. 19 pick in the NBA Draft.
The Hornets have already picked up their $3 million team option for him for the upcoming campaign.
He’s coming off averaging 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds, making 46 appearances.
And while the 22-year old was expected to have a growing role as the years went by because of his physicality and defense, this kind of behavior could make them change their minds.
