We aren’t sure where he will land but we are nearly positive that Christian Wood will not be playing for the Dallas Mavericks next season.
After just one year with the Mavs, the free agent is now one of the biggest names on the market right now.
For some time, rumors have said that Wood could end up with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The other day, talk about the Chicago Bulls signing him popped up too.
Now another team is in the mix: the Miami Heat.
According to Dan Woike, via Vice City Alerts, sources believe that the Heat could be a suitor for Wood, specifically if they’re able to secure Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.

The additions of both Lillard and Wood would be a big deal for the Heat.
Miami has lost a few important players during the offseason, most notably Gabe Vincent and Max Strus.
But if they are able to get Lillard and Wood, it would have all been worth it.
Wood to the Lakers seemed very likely for a while but the problem there is that LA is limited in what they can give.
They have been wheeling and dealing a lot lately and adding new talent (including Vincent from Miami) but it has left them strapped for cash.
They could offer Wood a veteran’s minimum salary, but not much more.
Other teams in the league, such as the Bulls or Heat, could give him something much more worthwhile.
The Heat have made very few moves during recent summers.
Are they about to have their most consequential offseason in years?
