The Memphis Grizzlies desperately need their best player back on the floor.
Ja Morant is about to make his season debut after serving his 25-game suspension.
The former No. 2 pick will take the floor tonight to square off vs. the New Orleans Pelicans to try and turn things around for a team that has only been able to win six games without him this season.
Notably, Morant lost way more than just playing time with this suspension, as he’s lost over $7.6 million (via Yahoo Sports).

Fortunately for him, he could’ve lost even more, as he was reportedly at risk of losing one of his sponsor deals with Nike.
Morant is one of the faces of the league, which is why NBA Commissioner Adam Silver didn’t hesitate to lay the hammer down on him.
He had already been suspended once for showing guns on Instagram Live, and he was away from the team for a while as he sought counseling.
The young point guard vowed to do better in an interview with Jalen Rose, which is why so many people were angry and disappointed at him when another video of him playing with guns made the rounds.
Whether he had a right to bear arms or not is not for us to debate, but his team needs him to stay out of trouble and be on the court if they want to have a chance to turn things around and make the playoffs after such a slow start to the season.
