Baker Mayfield has had an interesting NFL career, to say the least.
Since entering the league in 2018, Mayfield has had seven different coaches on three different teams.

In his tenure with the Cleveland Browns, Mayfield had four different head coaches.
As a young player, it was difficult for Mayfield to gain much traction, especially given the constantly revolving door at head coach in Cleveland.
Mayfield’s short time in Carolina was also accompanied by two different coaches, and with a 1-5 record as a member of the Panthers, was also unable to make any sort of notable strides.
His current coach is Sean McVay.
McVay is constantly touted as one of the NFL’s best coaches, which started almost immediately upon his tenure with the Rams.
With any luck, Mayfield will be invited back to the Rams in 2023, where he will likely be coached by McVay.
What’s Next For Mayfield?
For starters, he needs to play extremely well in the Rams’ next three games, considering that he is jockeying for a starting spot in the NFL.
If Mayfield can retain a job, he would be a great fit as the Rams’ backup quarterback, given the injuries that Matthew Stafford has sustained in the past few seasons.
However, if Mayfield doesn’t play well in the Rams’ remaining games, he may be forced to enter another career path.
Will the former number-one overall draft pick be able to stay in the league?
Or, will he have to resort to having to act in more insurance commercials?
