The Carolina Panthers have found their new head coach in Frank Reich.
After getting fired by the Indianapolis Colts late in the season, it did not take Reich long to find a new job.
Where Carolina needs the most help is on the offensive side of the ball.
That is one reason why they decided to go with Reich over the defensive-minded Steve Wilks.
But, this job will not be an easy one for Reich, because Carolina has a similar problem to what he was used to in Indianapolis.
That is a hole at the most important position, quarterback.
Frank Reich had five different Week 1 starting quarterbacks in his five years with Indianapolis. He’ll be getting another new QB in Carolina — with hopes this one sticks longer.

The current QB depth chart in Carolina consists of Sam Darnold, P.J. Walker, Jacob Eason, and Matt Corral.
None of them have had extensive success in the NFL.
Reich has yet to find a franchise quarterback for himself, so that should be his first big move in Carolina.
The Panthers will be selecting ninth overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, and they could use that pick to find a QB.
If not, trades or even free agency could present the Panthers with a stable quarterback option for Reich.
One player we know is available is Derek Carr.
He would be a far better option than anything the Panthers have right now.
Carolina has the assets to make a big move, so they must look into that this offseason.
Being the head coach in Carolina should mean a lot to Reich.
As he was the first quarterback in the franchise’s history when they joined the NFL back in 1995.
Now he will be tasked with getting the Panthers back to the playoffs for the first time since 2017.
