The New York Mets have found themselves in some uncharted territory.
For the first time since 2021, the team has lost four consecutive games.
As a result, they sit three games behind the Atlanta Braves in the NL East.
It’s also the first time they’ve lost four consecutive games under Buck Showalter, the reigning National League Manager of the Year.
However, the Mets aren’t panicking just yet, and neither is star shortstop Francisco Lindor.
After the Mets’ 4-1 loss on Wednesday night against the Washington Nationals, Lindor spoke to the media and reacted to the loss.
However, he did his best to remain positive and expressed belief that the Mets can right the ship.

Lindor chalked it up to being just one rough stretch, something that every team will go through over the course of the season.
He also talked about how the Mets will respond to this challenge, stating that this is a group that has battled back from adversity and turned the page time after time.
The star shortstop said that the key for the team is learning from Wednesday’s defeat and simply flipping the page as they focus on their series finale against the Nationals.
Lindor also stressed that the team will need to come prepared on Thursday as they attempt to snap their four-game skid.
After the Nationals series comes to an end, the Mets will begin a tough stretch of games, beginning with a three-game weekend series against the Braves.
The Mets will be at home for that series.
