The Washington Commanders will no longer have to put up with the issues of a team led by Dan Snyder.
The longtime owner officially sold the team on Thursday and a new era of Washington football is upon us.
Of the many issues that Snyder presented as an owner, former Washington coach Jay Gruden has an interesting one.
According to Kevin Sheehan, via Dov Kleiman, Gruden said Snyder would make “key decisions” about which players to draft and sign.
The issue with that was he never studied any film.

The Commanders have been bad for so many years and it is starting to make sense as to why.
Washington has not had a winning record since the 2016 season when they went 8-7-1.
Every successful NFL team is built through the draft.
You cannot miss on picks and expect to compete on a year-in and year-out basis.
It will be interesting to see how their new ownership group operates.
More than likely they will hire a GM who will make the key decisions.
Just about every successful team in the NFL has a GM who specializes in scouting and finding good players.
It was clear Snyder did not think that was necessary during his tenure.
Finding a franchise quarterback for this team should be the number one priority.
While it may take a few years for the new owners to turn the franchise around at least they are headed in the right direction.
