The Washington Commanders are looking to rid the stench surrounding the franchise for many years.
The most important move has already been made by having Dan Snyder sell the team.
Now new owner Josh Harris and his ownership group are looking to turn this once proud franchise around.
One of the minority owners of the Commanders is NBA legend Magic Johnson.
He and Harris, along with many others, will be looking to make necessary changes to the franchise.
According to Dov Kleiman, Johnson said the team will consider a name change after the upcoming season.

Washington has already changed their name twice in recent years.
First, they went from the Redskins to the Football Team and then the Football Team to the Commanders.
Yet it appears the new ownership group is not in favor of the Commanders name.
Other than just a name change there are a few other issues that need to be addressed.
The first is finding a new stadium for the team to play in.
FedEx Field is one of the worst stadiums in football and Washington is due for a new football stadium.
Hopefully, this new ownership group can push to get a new one.
According to the NFLPA report cards, the Commanders were given an F- for their locker rooms and training room.
None of the Commanders’ players enjoy the work environment that has been presented to them.
There is a lot of work that has to be done with this franchise.
But finding a new ownership group is the first step in the right direction.
