Klay Thompson is regarded as one of the best three-point shooters in league history.
He is currently 11th on the all-time list for made three-pointers, and with an average season, could make his way to sixth or seventh.
The Golden State Warriors star is one of the primary reasons for their success as of late, known for his defensive abilities as well.
However, he was recently called out in an NBA Central tweet, indicating he’s the third-most overpaid player in NBA history according to Hoopshype’s metrics.
Thompson’s former teammate, Juan Toscano-Anderson spoke out against this injustice.
Y’all really put a 4 time champ on an “overpaid” list … I hate the internet man😂😂😂 https://t.co/2BmlvuoPXG

Due to Thompson’s standing as a four-time NBA champion, Toscano-Anderson believes he doesn’t deserve to be on this list.
Others mentioned are John Wall, Gordon Hayward, Tyson Chandler, and Juwan Howard, who round out the top five.
There are cases for the other four athletes to be named on this infamous grouping, but Toscano-Anderson believes they should keep Thompson’s name out of their mouths.
Thompson is currently signed to a five-year, $189 million contract.
This is in line with other top players across the league, and Thompson’s contract doesn’t appear to be egregious on paper.
He has struggled with injuries over the past few years, missing over half of the 2021-2022 season.
Last year, Thompson played most of the Warriors’ games, indicating he’s back to normal health.
He averaged 21.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, close to career highs in each metric.
Thompson will turn to the 2023-2024 season, hoping to silence the doubters across the league.
