The Denver Broncos are coming off one of the worst losses in recent memory in the NFL, with Sean Payton’s squad giving up 70 points to the potent offense of the Miami Dolphins, who were absolutely relentless in Week 3.
It was the most points scored by a team since 1966, with the Broncos simply helpless to stop Tua Tagovailoa and company, as Miami could do anything they wanted to do on the football field, whether it was dominating through the air or on the ground.
Ultimately, the Broncos lost by 50 to the Dolphins, and now the pressure is really on in Denver with all eyes on Payton and superstar quarterback Russell Wilson.
It seems as though this new dynamic duo in the Mile High City has not been able to come up with a winning recipe, as they have yet to win a game and will have this epic loss hanging over their heads for the rest of the season.
Although Wilson has gotten a lot of criticism for his play to start the season, as many don’t see much of a difference compared to his poor play last season in Denver, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has come to his defense, saying the following on Twitter.
Russell Wilson is NOT the problem for the Denver Broncos, THE DEFENSE IS!!! The 2000 Rams are the greatest offense of all-time and they averaged 7 yards per play. The Broncos D is giving up 7.2 YARDS PER PLAY. They MISSED 24 TACKLES against the Dolphins. Stop the Russ hate. pic.twitter.com/TbmtzB2X0K

Griffin clearly puts the blame on the Broncos defense, and that comes as no surprise from a player who used to play the same position under center and received his fair share of criticism when his team failed to live up to expectations.
Yes, the Broncos defense deserves a lot of blame here, but so do Wilson and Payton, with Denver being a mess once again this season.NEXT: Shannon Sharpe Goes Off On Broncos After Historic Loss
