The New York Giants tried to get several quarterbacks in the offseason.
They reportedly tried to trade for Matthew Stafford, who eventually chose to stay with the Los Angeles Rams.
Then, with Aaron Rodgers stalling on his decision, the Giants signed Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson.
That made some people think that they were no longer interested in Shedeur Sanders.
Passing on him in the 2025 NFL Draft, however, would be a huge mistake, at least according to former Giants player Will Blackmon.
He said the Giants should draft Sanders if he’s available at No. 3 overall.
“There’s no question,” Blackmon said, via NFL Network. “… I believe the Giants, not only will they, but they have to get Shedeur Sanders. … They have to get this quarterback situation right.”

Sanders has flirted with the Giants’ fan base for months.
He was firmly expected to be the No. 1 overall pick if the Giants had it, but a Week 17 win changed that plan.
However, they could still draft Sanders if they’re in the market for a quarterback.
Though Sanders isn’t the most talented prospect, he fits the bill for the Giants.
He seems tailor-made for a big market and bright lights, and New York City loves its stars.
Russell Wilson hasn’t played that well since the Seattle Seahawks traded him, and even if he were to turn back the clock in 2025, which seems unlikely, the Giants would still need a QB for the future.
Sanders could sit back, learn from a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, and eventually take over.
