The Green Bay Packers seem like they are ready to start a new era.
That is because they are openly shopping quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and hoping to get a nice package in return.
Rodgers has been in plenty of contact with the New York Jets.
As both sides have already talked, there seems to be mutual interest in each other.
But, the Jets will have to give up some draft capital to land Rodgers.
According to Michael Lombardi, the Packers are hoping to receive a first-round pick and another conditional pick.

The 39-year-old Rodgers still believes he can play at a high level.
But, it just seems very unlikely it will be in Green Bay.
It makes sense for the Packers to move Rodgers now.
They drafted Jordan Love in 2020 to be his successor, and they have to find out what Love can do as the full-time starter.
Also, the added draft capital the Packers will get back for Rodgers is just a bonus.
From the Jets’ perspective, they have been looking for a good quarterback for the longest time.
Instead of continuing to draft one and failing, it would be wise for them to go out and acquire a known commodity.
Even though Rodgers may only play one or two more seasons, at least he will make them competitive in those years.
There does not seem to be much noise about Rodgers and any other team.
So, if he is going to get moved, it seems like New York will be his next home.
