The Denver Nuggets are once again the best team in the Western Conference and may be on a path to their second championship win.
When most people talk about the team, they usually speak about Nikola Jokic and his astounding skills.
However, there is another star who is doing great things for the Nuggets who deserves accolades too: Jamal Murray.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” Lou Williams said that Murray is supremely underrated.
“When we start talking about guys being overlooked, Jamal Murray’s picture should be in the dictionary,” Williams said.

Williams pointed out that Murray has never earned an All-Star selection and is not spoken about nearly as much as Jokic.
Yet, he is still the best player on many nights and is a very talented and consequential part of the roster.
For the season, Murray is averaging 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 6.6 assists on 48.1% from the field and 41.6% from the three-point line.
Williams said that Murray is often seen as Robin to Jokic’s Batman, but it’s impossible that anyone could overshadow such an immense Hall of Fame talent.
Even though he doesn’t get the same attention as his big teammate, he is still a crucial part of the team’s success.
It’s no surprise that the Nuggets won their first championship the year that Murray returned from a lengthy injury.
Jokic was still doing amazing work before Murray’s return but when his teammate came back to the team, it took them to the next level and paved a path to the Finals.
One of the biggest mistakes any NBA fan can make is thinking the Nuggets are solely Jokic’s team.
He might be the biggest star, but he’s not the only factor in their outstanding success.
