Damian Lillard was regarded as an extremely loyal player, which was proven by spending 11 seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, the team that drafted him.
But after 11 years of struggle, Dame finally demanded for a trade from the Trail Blazers this past summer.
After all these years, Lillard is no closer to winning an NBA Championship than he was during his rookie year.
Keeping that in mind, Lillard demanded a trade to the Miami Heat, but NBA analyst Antonio Daniels explained the one huge problem regarding Dame’s trade request via Sirius XM NBA Radio.
“Teams are going to do what’s in their best interests,” he said.

Daniels played 13 years in the NBA, so he knows how things work in the league.
With that being said, Daniels believes the biggest issue with Dame’s trade request is that the Trail Blazers will ultimately trade him to a team that benefits them the most.
It could be the Miami Heat if they provide them with the best available package or it could be any other team around the league.
According to a recent report, the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors are putting together trade packages for the 33-year-old superstar.
Considering Lillard is still a prolific scorer and can assist his teammates with ease, he is a valuable star in the NBA.
Many believe that the Trail Blazers should fulfill Lillard’s demands as he’s one of the best players to ever play for them.
With the NBA Training Camp right around the corner, news about Lillard’s future should arrive sooner rather than later, either to the Heat or another franchise.
