The Chicago Bears continue to look for the right guy to lead their project going forward.
Notably, they’re facing some steep competition for the top-ranked candidates.
That’s why they have to think outside the box and look elsewhere for their guy.
With that in mind, they set their sights on the college football scene.
According to a report by NFL insider Jay Glazer, the Bears will interview former Heisman winner Eddie George for the position.

George has been the head coach at Tennessee State for four years now.
According to Glazer’s report, he was also named Coach of the Year for his conference this year and led the team to a co-championship.
Even so, with all due respect, perhaps the Bears need to aim a little higher.
They must go after a proven commodity or a rising assistant coach, such as Ben Johnson or Mike McCarthy.
They currently have one of the most talented quarterback prospects in NFL history, and they cannot afford to ruin him or waste another season of his development.
Even if they lose some key players in free agency, they should still return a talented defense and a promising offense.
Finding the right coach for Caleb Williams and fixing their offensive line should be at the top of their priority list right now.
And while George might be a great head coach, it’s hard to believe their fan base would be even slightly excited to hear about the team’s interest in his services.
