Malik Willis was a polarizing quarterback prospect ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft.
While some around the league believed he was a late first-round talent, others weren’t so sure he could make it in the league.
The Tennessee Titans ended up selecting him in the third round and he was potentially expected to usurp Ryan Tannehill.
However, a recent report has indicated that Willis could be released by the team, per Ben Arthur, via Dov Kleiman.
Update: The #Titans could release QB Malik Willis after only one season, @benyarthur writes
Ben says that Willis is "the odd man out" with Ryan Tannehill and Will Levis on the roster.

This report comes shortly after the Titans moved up for Will Levis, who they took in the second round.
Being that Tannehill is still slated to be on the roster, Willis could be on the short end of the stick, which has received mixed fan reactions.
I could see him landing on the Ravens, Colts, Eagles and maybe a few others to back up their QB and develop some more. Hopefully the guy gets a legit shot.

Hope he gets a second chance somewhere

Soon as they release another franchise or league going to scoop him up

As these three fans indicate, they are optimistic that Wilis will likely find himself on a new roster, provided he is released by the Titans.
The Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and Philadelphia Eagles were suggested as potential landing spots.
Due to Willis’ athletic profile, he could get another shot, to at least be a practice squad member or a backup.
At Tannehill's high salary I would assume he's the first to get cut

However, one fan indicated that Tannehill could get cut, given his massive salary.
Tannehill is still owed $27 million this season, the last year of his contract.
If the team is confident in Levis, they could move on from Tannehill, and keep Willis around as a backup.
Despite high-caliber play during his first few seasons as the Titans’ quarterback, Tannehill dropped off in production last year.
How will the Titans proceed at quarterback to start the season?
