The NFL has become the most popular sports league in the world.
NFL Sundays have become almost a national holiday for many people.
But, that level of popularity brings more recognition to the players.
You get held to a higher standard off the field as an NFL player.
That means you need to avoid getting in any trouble.
But, there have been a handful of players whose careers have derailed due to off-field issues.
The most recent player allegedly getting into trouble is Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon.
According to Dov Kleiman, Mixon was allegedly seen waving a gun at a motorist in Cincinnati.

This is the last thing the Bengals wanted to see this offseason.
Mixon has been an essential part of their offense and now he may be in trouble.
Some fans have questions as to why Mixon was caught in this precarious position.
Was he provoked that time? If you’re getting harassed to the point you’re fearful of your life then you should be able to stand your grounds. If the motorist was no threat then it’s definitely no warranted and should be handled accordingly.

Some Bengals fans are ready to move on from Mixon.
They feel as if his play on the field is not worth the problems he causes off of it.
Gotta let him walk. Not even a good RB anyway https://t.co/iCc18Ymqop

There have been talks that a few impact running backs are available on the open market.
They are Derrick Henry and Austin Ekeler.
Both would be an upgrade over Mixon if the Bengals wanted to make a trade.
Derrick Henry or Austin Ekeler will be a Bengal.

This may be the last straw for Mixon in Cincinnati.
He was a potential cut candidate earlier in the offseason as the Bengals could save cap space.
And now he’s waving goodbye
