The Cincinnati Bengals are in a tough spot right now.
They were forced to place the franchise tag on Tee Higgins, as they were unable to strike a long-term deal.
Now, the talented wide receiver has officially requested a trade.
According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, Higgins is angry at the fact that the Bengals front office hasn’t reached out to him to try and get a long-term contract extension since they tagged him.

Higgins is one of the most underrated wide receivers in the game.
He’s still quite young, and there should be plenty of teams lining up to get him, as he could even be a WR1 somewhere else.
The Jacksonville Jaguars could be a logical destination, as he’d be with Trevor Lawrence, and they have a vacancy after parting ways with Calvin Ridley.
The Cleveland Browns already landed Jerry Jeudy, but they could still be looking for more depth at the position, although it’s almost impossible to see them dealing with a divisional rival.
The New England Patriots need someone to catch the football as well, even if they don’t have a quarterback right now.
Whatever the case, this is a consequence of Joe Burrow’s massive contract extension, especially considering they will also have to break the bank to get Ja’ Marr Chase locked in for years to come with his next contract.
