The Cleveland Cavaliers just can’t seem to shake the injury bug that has been plaguing them all season long.
Sadly, the latest injury to the team is the worst one yet.
Shams Charania is reporting that guard Darius Garland has sustained a fractured jaw and is now expected to miss “several weeks.”
The injury came on Thursday night when Garland experienced a head-on collision with Kristaps Porzingis of the Boston Celtics.
At the time, the collision looked bad but apparently, it was far worse than people thought.

Following the news, Cavaliers fans took to Twitter to mourn the immediate future of their team.
“Extremely unlucky season for the Cavs,” one fan said, which is definitely an understatement.
The season has been teeming with injuries since even before opening night and multiple stars have been forced to miss time, including Caris LeVert, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and now Garland.

“Cavs have terrible luck,” another fan lamented, which is hard to argue with because Garland could miss a lot of time.

Others are curious about what head coach J.B. Bickerstaff will do and which players will fill the void left by Garland.
So far this season, he has posted 20.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 5.9 assists and has started in every game.
He has been a crucial part of the team’s offense and it’ll be hard to match his output.
Who’s replacing his minutes 👀

Others are sad to see Garland go because he is playing some of the best basketball of his career.
Although this isn’t a season-ending injury, it’ll put a lengthy pause on his All-Star season.
Dude was playing at an AllStar level, hate to see this happen.

There are some who think that the Cavaliers should now try to land Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls, who is allegedly on the trade market.
LaVine could definitely help out the team’s offense, but at what cost?
Wow they should trade him for Zach Lavine

The Cavaliers already had a lot of headaches before this news about Garland.
They will now have to plot a course ahead without one of their biggest stars.
