The Houston Texans selected Nathaniel “Tank” Dell in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Dell was a controversial prospect, as many believed in his talent, but his five-foot-eight frame scared some off.
While this pick might have been suspect at the time, it was later revealed that C.J. Stroud lobbied for the team to take him.
Dell and Stroud have already established great chemistry in training camp, which they hope translates to the NFL.
In the Texans’ first preseason game, Dell did his best to silence his doubters, showing off with five receptions, 65 yards, and one touchdown.
His touchdown reception has gone viral, as seen below shared by PFF.

During this play, Dell twisted his body to get to the ball, which then went up into the air, off his leg, and eventually, into his arms.
Preseason football might not always be accompanied by many highlights, but this clip is a great reminder that the regular season is nearly here.
After Dell made this catch, fans across the league responded, giving their praise to the young rookie.
He fought for that and got a TD, well played

The Dell hype train is here, and it’s alive and well.
Whether Dell can sustain this level of success in a regular season game remains to be seen.
The Texans haven’t quite found themselves since Deshaun Watson left.
If Dell and Stroud can put things together, they might not necessarily win a lot of games, but their offense could provide levels of excitement similar to the Detroit Lions last season.
