When Jordan Poole was drafted into the NBA as the 28th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, not many expected him to become a star in the league.
However, the Golden State Warriors showed immense trust in Poole, and it helped him in becoming one of the most promising young players in the league.
So much so that Poole even played a crucial role in helping the Warriors win the 2022 NBA Championship.
Unfortunately, Poole’s feud with Draymond Green ultimately led to his departure from the team and he was traded to the Washington Wizards ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season.
Considering Poole had shown great promise, many expected him to continue his domination in the NBA.
But Poole is playing like a shelf of himself in the Wizards uniform and it was proven once again after his stinker of a performance during the Wizards’ recent game against the Dallas Mavericks.

He went to the team with the mentality that it was his team and I think that's where it all went wrong. He's not ready to lead a team. He needs a really solid mentor if he's going to stay in the league.

Poole finished the game with just 3 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
In addition, he had a terrible 1-12 shooting performance from the floor, including a 1-6 showing from the three-point line.
For the season, he is averaging 15.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game on a horrible 39.9% from the field and 29.7% from the three-point line.
