Sunday night wasn’t good for quarterback Kenny Pickett of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While he had a flash of greatness during a touchdown drive, the rest of his night was horrible.
In fact, Pickett’s night was so bad people took to Twitter to call out the rookie QB.
So what are fans saying about the Steelers’ rookie QB’s performance from Sunday night?
Fans Weren’t Happy With Pickett And The Steelers Offense
Ed Bouchette, who’s covered the Steelers during his career, was the first to lay blame on the Steelers offense.
This may be the worst Steelers offense I have ever seen, and I go back aways
— Ed Bouchette (@EdBouchette) October 24, 2022
While the overall issue was with the Steelers offense, Pickett was getting heat for his costly mistakes.
These mistakes had one fan comparing Pickett to Ryan Tannehill.
Two bad interceptions late is his fault. There is blame to be spread around, true. But the glaring issues are Kenny Pickett is at best, a Ryan Tannehill.

However, the power of sarcasm was being used by one fan.
What a phenomenal performance by Kenny Pickett last night! So much better than Mitch for sure. 5.8 yards per completion, 1 TD and 3 interceptions! Ya love to see it @steelers

With other fans, they make a comparison between Pickett and third string QB Mason Rudolph.
Mason Rudolph had just one multiple interception game in 17 games. Kenny Pickett now has had 2.
By this time Mason already had 7 TD's, all passing
Kenny has 2 rushing (ball recovered on the 4 yd line) & 2 passing.

But there’s a better criticism of Pickett with his last interception of the game.
I have never seen an Athlete in Pittsburgh being given such a free pass as Kenny Pickett. No matter what he does it’s not his fault. There’s always an excuse. He played terrible tonight. He could have ran for a first down at the end instead of throwing a terrible interception.

While Pickett might get a free pass by some Steelers fans, others are holding his feet to the fire.
A Different Segment Of Steelers Fans Still Back Pickett
Even with the horrible night, some fans were still defending Pickett.
This first supporter of the rookie QB lays the blame on Matt Canada, the offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh.
I support Kenny Pickett 💯, I support the defense 💯, I apologize 💯 for criticizing Ben 💯. The problem for the last 3 long years is 💯 Canada. Rooney must fire him, the players deserve better, and so do we. #FireMattCanada
— Bob (@Str8outBurgh) October 24, 2022
However, he wasn’t the only one to blame Canada and his offensive scheme for the problems with the Pickett-led offense.
Tell us you haven’t seen Kenny Pickett play before Matt Canada’s offense without telling us you haven’t seen Kenny Pickett play before Matt Canada’s offense.

Joe S. on Twitter seems to think all the passing by the rookie QB was good to help him develop.
@JasonLieser @MorrisseyCST @DavidHaugh Kenny Pickett threw 44 passes and despite 3 interceptions they let him pass 44 times. That’s how you develop a quarterback instead of handing the ball off. Bears take note

It’s clear Steelers fans are split on the rookie QB, no matter what he does.
