No team in the NFL has made more noise during the offseason than the New York Jets.
Although last season ended poorly, with the team losing its last six games, New York showed a lot of promise on both sides of the football.
The biggest issue for the Jets was the quarterback position, which the team addressed in a big way during this NFL offseason by acquiring superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers.
With the team bringing in Rodgers, the Jets have become must-see TV in the NFL, and for good reason, as New York could very well be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC during the 2023 campaign.
That said, it comes as no surprise that the league would give New York five primetime games and the first-ever game to be played on Black Friday via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
The #Jets got 5 primetime games in their schedule:
– Week 1: Bills (MNF)
– Week 4: Chiefs (SNF)
– Week 9: Chargers (MNF)
– Week 10: Raiders (SNF)
– Week 17: Browns (TNF)And they have the first-ever Black Friday game in Week 12 vs. the Dolphins.

Hackett had 5 primetime games last year and we all seen how that went…

Rightfully so.

Dolphins should have the same amount

Only time will tell if the Jets will be the real deal in 2023, as it could easily go the other direction and become what the Denver Broncos were in 2022 following the blockbuster trade involving superstar quarterback Russell Wilson.
Although the Broncos aren’t a total failure just yet as a result of the Wilson trade, with the team bringing in head coach Sean Payton to right the ship, Denver’s situation is definitely not something the Jets want next season.
New York will be put under the microscope in 2023 with no telling whether it’ll be a success or another quarterback trade disaster.
