It’s been a tough couple of years for the Detroit Pistons, but it’s not like the fans are suffering right now.
If anything, it’s an exciting time to be a Pistons fan.
They’ve put together a promising core of young players with a bright future, and they might as well get the ultimate piece in the upcoming NBA Draft.
According to ESPN’s latest mock, the Pistons could be in control of the first-overall selection, giving them a prime chance to land French Stud Victor Wembanyama.

I wouid love for him to do to Detroit . But my guess is Detroit will not get the first pick in the draft . I think they might end up with the number 2 pick

For years, scouts have showered Wembanyama with praise, and for very good reasons.
He’s got a never-before-seen combination of size, length, handles, shot-blocking, and three-point shooting, and some believe he’s got GOAT potential.
Scouts have deemed Wembanyama the most hyped prospect in NBA history, even ahead of the likes of LeBron James and Zion Williamson, and even James recently called him ‘an alien.’
Of course, a guy his size will always come with plenty of red flags and injury concerns, but he’s been healthy for the better part of his career and has dominated at every single level he’s played.
Wembanyama might be more suited to play at the four to avoid that physical burden below the rim, at least on defense.
And that would work out perfectly for Detroit, as they already have Jalen Duren, James Wiseman, and Isaiah Stewart down low to anchor the paint for them.
