Bojan Bogdanovic of the Detroit Pistons is having one of the best seasons of his career but that season may be coming to an early end.
With an average of 21.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists a game, Bogdanovic has become a breakout star in 2022-23.
But he has been dealing with an injury all year long and now the Pistons might be taking extreme measures to keep him healthy.
Per NBACentral, Shams Charania is reporting that the Pistons could shut down Bogdanovic for the rest of the season.

The Pistons currently have a 15-51 record, which means any chance of them making the playoffs is gone.
Bogdanovic has been suffering from an Achilles injury all season long, although he has been playing wonderfully despite that.
Since they have the worst record in the NBA, the Pistons might elect to put Bogdanovic on the bench for the rest of the season so he doesn’t further aggravate his injury.
But is there something else at play here?
All season long, other teams throughout the league have wanted to add Bogdanovic.
He was the center of much interest, especially as the trade deadline approached.
But the Pistons wouldn’t part ways without Bogdanovic and had a high asking price for the star.
Maybe they are going to sideline him so they can keep his trade value promising for the upcoming offseason.
If Bogdanovic were to keep playing and get hurt, other teams would not be willing to pay as much for him in the summer.
This might be a move by the Pistons to keep Bogdanovic healthy – and keep his price point sky-high.
