The Cleveland Cavaliers have done a great job of adjusting to life without LeBron James since 2018.
Following the King’s departure, the Cavs focused on grooming young talent and trading for them, at times drafting the said talent.
Evan Mobley was drafted by the Cavaliers with the third overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
While Mobley has played just two seasons in the NBA, he is already becoming a fan favorite.
Mobley’s popularity was evident following the NBA’s official Twitter handle wishing him a happy birthday alongside several fans.

I thought this was Channing Frye

Most fans shared their wishes for Mobley on his special day as he turns 24 years old.
But a fan joked about Mobley resembling Channing Frye, who used to be a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers as well.
As for Mobley, he is regarded as one of the overrated players by many in the NBA community.
In the first two seasons of his career, Mobley has averaged 15.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
While Mobley’s numbers could have been better, considering he’s the third overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, the expectations are huge for him.
Mobley may already be 24 years old, but he only has a couple of years of experience under his belt.
Keeping that in mind, Mobley hasn’t even scratched the surface of his true potential in the NBA.
Can he finally take the leap into stardom in the 2023-24 NBA season? Only time will tell.
He certainly has the tools to one day become a multiple-time NBA All-Star in the league.
