The Atlanta Falcons have been one of the most active teams in the NFL throughout the offseason.
So far, they have added over six new players to their roster, including Calais Campbell, Jessie Bates, and Taylor Heinicke.
After finishing the 2022 season with a 7-10 record, the Falcons look to get back on track and compete for the NFC South.
In a recent visit to local MLS club Atlanta United, Grady Jarrett had a lot to say about the Falcons’ defense moving forward.
“At the core, I think we’re going to be strong up front on the offense and defensive line, so I think that’s going to drive us forward,” said Jarrett.
Falcons DT Grady Jarrett: "I envision this team being a really strong defensive team. At the core, I think we're going to be really strong upfront on the offense and defensive line, so I think that's really going to drive us forward."https://t.co/YKctGVbqSD

Jarrett expressed excitement in several of his new teammates, including Campbell and David Onyemata.
He called Campbell’s leadership “crazy,” and regarding Onyemata’s impact, he described him as “great.”
While Jarrett showed his initial excitement about his new teammates, he was also elated about the teammates that the Falcons retained.
Chris Lindstrom was signed to a five-year extension, and Kaleb McGary was given a three-year deal.
Jarrett described the Falcons as “keeping the band together,” and that it is important to train against them, considering they are some of the best in the league.
Last season, the Falcons defense allowed 23.1 points per game, which was the 10th-highest total in the league.
If Jarrett’s feelings about this team are any indication, the defense should be greatly improved during the 2023 season.
Will the Falcons be able to pull their entire roster together next year?
